Maracas, desert planet

Maracas. desert planet.
(Don't know how obvious that reference to Dune is)

Personal project that i have been working on for a while pretty slowly. Everything used in this environment is made by me and with game use in mind.

Feels good to get back up to speed with Unreal and i was using this project to learn blender better (It's so nice and pretty to work in). Pretty heavy use of Designer and Zbrush as well (They are just too much fun). The character could definitely have gotten more love haha! But since characters aren't really my strong side i kept him pretty simple. And i kind of like him anyway. Also, large rock formations are hard to make. But i learned a lot sculpting them in Zbrush :)

Hope someone likes it :)

After getting beamed down to a planet he uses his space vacuum thing to gather interesting materials and his fancy space goggles to identify them. I hope they protect him from the sun.

He seems pretty amazed by the view.

Space collector X-5000. Keeps all those exotic materials safe and fresh for you.

Made different types of plants using blueprints and combining them in different ways.

This guy could have gotten a lot more love (Where is his ears???) But i mostly just wanted him to give the scene some more character. But i kind of like him despite all of his faults. Atleast he is probably the most symmetrical guy in the universe.

For the smaller rocks i made a generator in designer that i used to create different variations of rocks and exported out the tesselated mesh from designer that i used as my highpoly. And then created the lowpolys in zbrush.
